Pittsburgh Central Keystone Innovation Zone Awards $100K to Innovative Startups
The Pittsburgh Central Keystone Innovation Zone (PCKIZ) awarded 100K to five promising young companies located in the Uptown section of the Greater Hill District.
The grant funds will assist in patent applications, software and personnel expenses, and general development efforts for the following companies:

Allpoint Systems, developer of software systems that use 3D laser data techniques to create maps and models for engineers and surveyors, will receive $25,000.
Careerimp Inc., creator of a web-based software that applies semantic technology to improve compatibility among job seekers and employers, will receive $25,000.
NoWait Inc., creator of a cloud-based seating management application for the no-reservations restaurants, will receive $25,000.
Eveos Corporation, a medical software company that assists obstructive sleep apnea patients and care providers, will receive $15,000.
Randall Industries, LLC, a specialty chemical manufacturing business, will receive $10,000.

Together, these companies aim to create 45-50 jobs within the next three years.
“In this third round of funding, we continue to support minority owned startups and companies committed to playing a role in revitalizing the community,” William Generett Jr., president and CEO of the PCKIZ, said.
The PCKIZ’s leadership in creating the burgeoning startup cluster that continues to expand in the community has achieved new heights with the Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Grant that the organization recently secured.
“We have been the in this community since 2008 and have grown from two employees to eight. We are planning further expansion and this funding will help us meet our strategic needs,” Joel Reed, president of Allpoint Systems explained.
