Part of Pennsylvania’s statewide “Keystone Innovation Zones”*, the PCKIZ was created on the  notion to bring the very best in innovative technology to central Pittsburgh.  A leader in medical breakthroughs and innovations, Pittsburgh was voted “America’s most livable city” by Places Rated Almanac.  Pittsburgh has found its new identity and the PCKIZ was founded on this identity coupled with the strength, diversity, and innovation of each of its founding partners and supporters.  Led by Duquesne University and the Hill House Economic Development Corporation, the PCKIZ brings together internationally recognized higher education institutions, world class philanthropic foundations, local businesses, regional economic development organizations, and the public sector.
